An outstanding Pole and world- famous geologist

A Pole who lived in the United States for over 40 years. World-renowned geologist. A man instrumental in discovering and developing many ore deposits - including copper, gold, silver, platinum, natural gas, oil, and various industrial minerals. Expert in evaluating mine wastes and flotation tailings. He has been associated with many mining, energy and fuel companies. In recent years, he was an initiator of shale gas exploration in Poland and joint management of KGHM's flotation tailings.
His visit to his homeland in 2005 turned out to be the beginning of a breakthrough for the Polish gas market. He came to Poland with a billionaire from Texas looking for methane deposits and found something much more valuable.

Dr. Jan Krasoń has worked and lectured in over 60 countries, authored and co-authored over 140 scientific publications, books, geological maps, bulletins and critical reviews. He has written about 300 unpublished and proprietary reports for companies and government agencies. He has received numerous awards, including the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland from President Komorowski.

He inspired young Poles

In the interview, he discusses his difficult childhood, exile from his country, great discoveries, and love for his homeland.
On Friday, October 12, 2012, Dr. Jan Krasoń, a world-renowned geologist, was a guest of the Polish-American newspaper “Nasz Dziennik”. The conversation focused on the potential lying in Polish shale gas deposits and the KGHM’s flotation tailings.

He was an expert
in his field

The Polish blue gold

"The discovery of large shale gas deposits (...) would allow Poland to become independent from the importing of this essential energy source. Although unconventional shale gas has been extracted only recently (...) it has already become one of the basic raw materials for energy.
Although still not fully known, the results of exploratory drilling in Poland seem to be very positive, so I am delighted that I could still serve my homeland in this way." said Jan Krasoń.

Poland has 5.3 trillion m3 of shale gas

"In Europe, this is primarily due to the fear of potential competition from Polish gas. However, politicians are also scaring society with some adverse effects of this gas exploitation for the environment.

Personally, I think that the point is to create a climate for establishing regulations that will hinder the exploration of unconventional resources of blue fuel. Some people also want to prevent Poland from becoming independent of gas supplies from the East and from becoming a competitive supplier of this raw material to the European market."

Treasures of Lower
Silesia's
“Żelazny Most”

Polish mine tailings worth several hundred billion US$
Dr. Jan Krasoń's company, Geoexplorers International Inc., conducted research at its own expense on flotation tailings stored in the reservoirs of KGHM. The results were surprising. It turned out that the value of precious metals disposed of in the "Żelazny Most" tailings storage facility exceeds several times the value of metals currently being mined (copper and silver) by KGHM.

“Certain group of pseudo-authorities and “experts” with impunity enrich themselves on the property of all Poles”

Jan Krasoń enjoyed great respect in many parts of the world. He was hosted not only by international institutions or the largest mining companies but also by presidents, sheiks and kings, among others. In Poland, however, he was limited and underestimated. He overwhelmed many "scientists" with his knowledge.
The “Żelazny Most” reservoir contains about 1.5 billion tons of this waste. After calculation, it turns out that the estimated value of this waste exceeds 3 billion dollars (See: doc.6.83 - Tabela 8.21). Unfortunately, however, the matter is not being developed due to KGHM's unwillingness to cooperate.

Daily loss from flotation tailings*
$4,715,411,425
Monthly loss from flotation tailings*
$57,370,839,000
Annual loss from flotation tailings*

Based on the tables

* COMMENTS: The above amounts are estimates only

  • The estimated amounts are based only on semi-quantitative analyses of a few hundred samples. More extensive research  and analysis are required.
  • The amounts represent the updated value of precious metals in tailings from the current/annual production of KGHM, based on previous analyses and calculations by Dr. Jan Krasoń.
  • The amounts do not include other metals present in the tailings, e.g., copper, rhenium, rare earth elements (REE), etc.
  • Value of precious metals adjusted according to New York Spot Precious Metal Prices (USD/troy ounce [troz]) as of January 8, 2021.

The fight for Jan Krasoń’s legacy

Ryszard A. Korol (a long-time friend and associate of Jan Krasoń) fulfills the duty of Poles and fights for the heritage of our fathers.

The technology
worth a fortune

After Dr. Krasoń's death, his best friend and companion took over the running of Geoexplorers International, Inc. Now he is fulfilling Dr. Jan Krasoń's last wish: Poland is the first to benefit from their unique and proprietary technology for concentrating and extracting metals from ore and mining wastes. The "6M-EX" technology can be described in 3 words: Innovative, Economical and Ecological. Companies around the world have offered many millions of dollars for it.

Krasoń wanted to
make it available to Poland first

Jan Krasoń wanted KGHM to participate financially in the implementation of this technology. "In 2011, Jan presented KGHM with a Joint Venture proposal, which they completely ignored. At the time, KGHM's CEO Herbert Wirth and the board of directors were very busy raising and transferring several billion dollars to "buy" the Canadian company Quadra. So, for a couple of months, I've been attempting to convince KGHM to recover these precious metals from waste together with Geoexplorers. It is supposed to be a Joint Venture - Geoexplorers - KGHM". - Ryszard A. Korol tells us.

“We are running out of patience, and stupidity must be stamped out...”

In an open letter, Ryszard A. Korol writes: "We have recently renewed negotiations with KGHM, but it is going very hard because many experts have to admit that they made wrong decisions for many years concerning flotation tailings (...) I have prepared many documents and letters to the Prime Minister and the President of KGHM concerning this matter. We have years of costly research behind us. Meanwhile, many world experts and well-known personalities are waiting for the right time to support us and criticize KGHM, not only in the Polish press but also abroad."
